Mes outils pour apprendre la japonais - My tools to learn japanese

Hello !
I've been learning Japanese for a while, here are the ressources I use the most:

Great Websites for all levels:
NHK's (Japan's national broadcasting company) news and information on the channel's TV programmes.

Also: Japanese lessons  : http://www3.nhk.or.jp/lesson/
(in many languages: Arabic, Bengali, Burmese, Chinese, English, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Thai, Urdu, Vietnamese)
Great to learn letters, numbers, and beginners stuff
A lot of audio and a free iTunes podcasts.
Helping you with James W. Heisig's method (RTK - Remembering the Kanji)
  • JLPT Website - The Official Worldwide Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Website: www.jlpt.jp/e/
The Summary of Linguistic Competence Required for Each Level. JLPT Can-do Self-Evaluation List. etc
Community-style language-learning site:

An online language-learning course + peer learners help.
You can have a journal you write in the language you're studying corrected by a native speaker.

GREAT audio method!! I use this everydays!
This is a podcast where you can listen to readings of some classics of Japanese literature.

Tools:
  • Anki:
Sofware for spaced repetition learning (flash cards) that can be used for memorizing vocabulary.
  • Rikaichan plugin on Firefox:
Pop-up dictionary, that will show you the meaning of each individual character (along with its spelling in hiragana) and makes a great tool to translate unknown words into English.
  • TextFugu:
Focuses on the problems that self-learners have.

Blogs/Forum/etc:
On this website, the webmaster Maggie-sensei explains - in detail, and in a way that's fun and easy to understand - a range of different topics to the Japanese language, from Japanese slang to general vocabulary, expressions, grammar and even aspects of the culture.
